Islamabad: According to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), in June 2021, they registered 474 new real-estate companies, which overall representative growth of 63% compared to the corresponding period last year.
Of the newly enrolled companies, 65 percent were registered as private limited companies, 31 percent as single-member companies, 4 percent as unlisted public companies, foreign companies, nonprofit associations, and limited liability partnerships (LLP).
In June 2021, The construction and real estate sector took the lead with the incorporation of 474, trading with 382, I.T with 275, services with 216, e-commerce with 129 while textile with 86, corporate agricultural farming with 76, food and beverages with 105, mining & quarrying and transport with 36 each steel & allied with 18 companies were registered.
SECP enrolled a total of 2,504 new companies, due to which the total number of registered companies increased to 145 913.
According to the report, Foreign investment has been reported in 66 new companies, from Austria, China, France, Germany, Ghana, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Singapore, U.K., and the U.S.
