A Record funds allocation by Govt of Punjab since the last decade

Lahore: The Development of Punjab consumed a historic 97 percent of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) budget.
Planning and Development Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal that ADP budget was 308 billion for 2020-2021, and already Rs 300.77 billion has been consumed. Punjab govt spends the highest percentage of consumption in the last decade.
On the instruction of the Chief Minister, the development funds have been focused on new and ongoing development schemes.
According to the report, the health sector received Rs. 57.163 bn, while the education sector received Rs29.6 bn. Furthermore, 93 percent were spent on social welfare while 93 percent of agriculture funds have been utilized, 91 percent on irrigation, 98 percent on urban development, and 96 percent on transport. Funds issues for roads, water supply, and social welfare have been utilized in full.
